DRE’s Hampton Roads Office Completes Nine Lease Transactions

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: Michael B. Divaris, president of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of nine leases totaling 36,661 square feet of new and renewed office space throughout the Southside of the Hampton Roads region. Negotiations were handled through the Virginia Beach, Virginia, office of DRE.

STOP, Inc. leased 11,252 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased property located at 5700 Thurston Avenue in Virginia Beach. STOP Inc. was created in 1965 as the designated Community Action Agency to serve the Southeastern Tidewater Virginia area. STOP’s service area includes the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. STOP also serves the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. Divaris’ Krista Costa and Katherine Olson represented the landlord, Bellmawr, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

Team Fishel Engineering of Virginia subleased 8,770 square feet of office space located at 533 Byron Street in Chesapeake, Va. Team Fishel is a provider of utility engineering, construction and network installation and maintenance services. It has served the telecommunications, broadband cable, electric power, natural gas and low voltage technology industries for 80 years. With offices in 13 states and nearly 2,000 highly skilled teammates, the company serves customers throughout the United States. Costa and Olson handled the lease negotiations on behalf of the sublessor, Patterson Dental Supply, Inc.

Securitas Security Services USA renewed its lease for 3,180 square feet of office space in Greenwich Centre office building located at 192 Ballard Court in Virginia Beach. A global knowledge leader in security, Securitas delivers the most effective security solutions by offering customized solutions that include specialized guarding, technology solutions and consulting and investigations. DRE’s Costa and Vivian Turok represented the tenant in the lease negotiations with the landlord, Greenwich Centre Investors, LC.

JOIN I leased 3,175 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased Southport Trade Center located at 349 Southport Circle in Virginia Beach. DRE’s Turok and Elizabeth Greer Napolitano represented the landlord, Southport Circle, LLC, in the lease negotiations, while Elizabeth Paasch of Divaris represented the tenant.

CGI Federal renewed its lease for 2,890 square feet of office/warehouse space in the Divaris-leased and –managed HRSA-ILA Building located at 1355 International Terminal Boulevard in Norfolk, Va. CGI Federal Inc. is a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., dedicated to partnering with federal agencies to provide solutions for defense, civilian, healthcare and intelligence missions. DRE’s Eric Hammond represented the landlord, HRSA-ILA Pension Plan, in the lease negotiations.

Shupert Chaing Law renewed its lease for 2,500 square feet of office space located at 1333 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. DRE’s Turok and Jason Oliver represented the family law practice in the lease negotiations with the landlord, Laskin Road Partners, LLC.

Frederick N. Quarles, MD renewed his lease for 1,978 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Thalia One office building located at 4164 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Quarles Dermatology has served the region for over 20 years. DRE’s Chris Bendit represented the landlord, Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union, in the lease negotiations.

Heath J. Thompson, P.C. leased 1,716 square feet of office space located at 4224 Holland Road in Virginia Beach. The Law Firm of Heath J. Thompson P.C. specializes in: foreclosure prevention, loan modifications, real estate matters, title issues, credit cards/debt settlement, personal injury, insurance law, business law/LLC’S, wills and trusts, NFA trusts and family law. Costa and Olson represented the tenant in the negotiations with the landlord, Clark-Whitehall Company.

Liberty Tax leased 1,200 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased Independence Plaza at 1115 Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, there are over 4,500 Liberty Tax Service offices operating in the United States and Canada. Paasch and Napolitano represented the landlord, Andrianos LLC, in the lease negotiations with the tenant.
