RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of three leases totaling 13,246 square feet of office space in Richmond, Virginia. All leases were handled out of DRE’s Richmond office.
VCU Health System Authority renewed its lease for 6,057 square feet of office space at the Divaris-leased 411 East Franklin Street office building. Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and the health sciences schools of Virginia Commonwealth University comprise VCU Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. DRE’s Brett McNamee represented the landlord, Jemal’s 411, LLC, in the negotiations.
IslerDare, P.C. leased 5,627 square feet of office space in 411 East Franklin Street. The Washington-based firm is opening a new office in Richmond. Since its founding in 1997, IslerDare is the premier Virginia-based labor, employment, and employee benefits boutique law firm dedicated exclusively to representing employers in employment issues. McNamee represented the landlord in this lease as well. Other tenants of 411 East Franklin Street include: Hourigan Construction; Bremner Evans Moffatt; Spotts Fain, PC; and Astyra.
The Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints renewed its lease for 1,562 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased and –managed Fountain Park located at 9327 Midlothian Turnpike. The Presiding Bishop serves under the direction of the First Presidency to administer the temporal affairs of the Church, traveling to meet with and teach members of the Church throughout the world and counsel with other Church leaders regarding temporal matters such as tithing and fast offerings, welfare programs, humanitarian service, building projects, and much more. DRE’s John Madures handled the lease negotiations on behalf of both the landlord, Midlothian Partners of Virginia, LLC, and the tenant.
