(DRE), announced the completion of six leases and one land sale totaling 14,612 square feet of new and renewed retail space throughout the Hampton Roads region. Negotiations were handled through the Virginia Beach, Virginia, office of DRE.
Bluemercury leased 2,463 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Town Center of Virginia Beach, located at the corner of Main Street and Central Park Avenue in Virginia Beach, Va. Bluemercury offers the world’s best beauty products in a truly unique shopping experience. Bluemercury clients receive honest, expert advice; unparalleled, technical product knowledge; and friendly, superior service. Bluemercury selected Town Center for its first and exclusive location in Hampton Roads to join other elite retailers, including: Anthropologie, west elm, lululemon athletica, IT’SUGAR, Free People, Paper Source, Brooks Brothers, Monkee’s, Muse Paintbar and bevello. The store will be centrally located across from Town Center’s iconic fountain plaza. Sezin Cortinas and Gerald Divaris handled the lease negotiations on behalf of the landlord, Town Center Block 10 Apartments, L.P.
Smashburger leased 1,850 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Crossways Shopping Center located at 1412 Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake, Va. Smashburger is a fast-casual, better-burger restaurant with Certified Angus Beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and Haagen-Dazs milkshakes. DRE’s David Redmond represented the landlord, JLP-Chesapeke, LLC/Schottenstein Property Group, in the lease negotiations. Other tenants in Crossways Shopping Center include: DSW, Marshall’s, Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx and Value City Furniture.
21 Burgers leased 1,700 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Larkspur Square Shopping Center located at 4720 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. DRE’s Eric Hammond represented the landlord, Aegean Associates, in the lease negotiations. Other tenants in the shopping center include: Yama Sushi Bar, Sneaky Pete’s Sports Bar & Grill and Spiritual Relics.
Taste Unlimited renewed its lease for 5,593 square feet of retail space in City Center at Oyster Point located at 702 Mariners Row in Newport News, Va. Founded in 1973, Taste is Virginia’s leading family-owned and operated specialty food experience, with seven locations throughout the Hampton Roads region. DRE’s Sezin Cortinas represented the tenant in the lease negotiations with the landlord, Pointe Hope, LLC. Cortinas is the tenant representative for Taste in its expansion throughout the Commonwealth and has secured new premises in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk and Richmond.
Las Brasas Mexican Grill leased 1,700 square feet of space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Lynnhaven Green Shopping Center located at 1505 Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach. DRE’s David Bickford represented the landlord, Lynnhaven Shopping Center Associates, LLC, in the lease negotiations. Other tenants in the shopping center include: Farmers International Foods, China Wok, and Dollar General.
Neon Frog Vapes leased 1,306 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Lake Shores Plaza located at 5193 Shore Drive in Virginia Beach. Neon Frog Vapes is a premium E-liquids manufacturer and distributor of premium E-Liquids. The retailer joins: Food Lion, Navy Federal Credit Union and Second Chance Thrift store in Lake Shores Plaza. Bickford represented the landlord, Hoda Investments, LLC, in the lease negotiations.
Atherton Construction and Development, Inc. purchased three acres of land located at Harbour View Station West on Harbour View Boulevard in Suffolk, Va. The land will be used to develop a 22,000-square-foot mixed-use, retail and office center at the signalized intersection adjacent to Bon Secours Health Center, the proposed Lidl Grocer and over 500 proposed luxury apartment units. DRE’s Mary McGovern and Eric Hammond represented the seller, HVS West, LLC, in the sale.
