Williamsburg, Virginia: Gerald S. Divaris, Chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with DSW Shoe Warehouse for 14,500 square feet of retail space in The Marquis located at he intersection of Route 199 and Interstate 64 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Marquis is one of the first “power-town��? developments to be constructed on the Virginia  Peninsula.

DSW Shoe Warehouse originated in Dublin, Ohio and has  grown to 242 stores from coast to coast. Since it’s inception in 1991, DSW has developed into a distinctive retail concept  that  allows customers to personalize their shopping experience by offering an
assortment  of  shoes that are accessible, easy to shop, and  fill a broad range of customer needs and wants. This transaction marks DSW’s third location in Hampton Roads, Va.

Along with JC Penney, Best Buy, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, and ULTA, DSW Shoe Warehouse will anchor The Marquis, a one-million-square-foot, mixed-use, open-air  entertainment and retail center.  Developed by Premier Properties USA Inc., the property is adjacent to Water Country USA.

Gerald Divaris represented the landlord, Premier Properties USA Inc., in the lease negotiations, while Mary McGovern and  Sezin Cortinas, of  DRE’s Virginia Beach office, represented the tenant.
