Bassett Furniture leased 8,009 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Marketplace at Tech Center located at 12080 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News. Mary McGovern and Erica Meekins Rorrer represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Whole Foods will anchor Marketplace at Tech Center, the retail component of Tech Center at Oyster Point, a $250 million mixed-use development in the heart of Newport News. The master plan for Tech Center at Oyster Point includes 230,000 square feet of retail, 290 luxury apartment homes, 30,000 square feet of new specialty office space. Other retail tenants include Stein Mart, ULTA, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Five Below, BJ’s Brewhouse, PF Chang’s China Bistro, Carters, Café Rio, OshKosh B’gosh, Zoe’s Kitchen, Avalon Spa, and many more. Phenix Salon Suites leased 7,200 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Landstown Commons located at 3312 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. The lease was negotiated on behalf of the landlord, KRG Virginia Beach Landstown, LLC, by Divaris Real Estate’s Levi Thomson and Melinda Pezzella. Founded by a salon family with over 24 hair dressers and 75 years of salon experience, Phenix Salon Suites is one of the fastest growing salon suites concepts in the United States.
Sunrise Pizzeria leased 2,100 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and –managed Newport Marketplace at 353 Chatham Drive in Newport News. Aeri Jai and David Bickford of DRE’s Virginia Beach office represented the landlord, 353 Chatham Drive Holdings, LLC, in the lease negotiations. From five locations throughout Hampton Roads, Sunrise Pizzeria serves made-to-order pizza, pasta, salads and full dinners using only the freshest quality ingredients.
Saffron Indian Bistro renewed its lease for 4,789 square feet of restaurant space in the Divaris-leased and –managed Town Center of Virginia Beach. Sezin Cortinas handled the lease on behalf of the landlord. Saffron Indian Bistro is committed to providing exceptional dining experiences.
