NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced that it has been hired by Inland Real Estate Income Trust, Inc. to be the exclusive leasing agents for the retail space at Marketplace at Tech Center. Divaris handled the pre-leasing and leasing of the mixed-used regional center for the previous owner, SJ Collins, since the project’s inception.
The 210,000-square-foot Marketplace at Tech Center, is a newly constructed grocery-anchored power center, in Newport News, Virginia. Completed in 2015, Marketplace at Tech Center is located at 12080 Jefferson Avenue. A 39,998-square-foot Whole Foods grocery store serves the approximately 172,000 residents living within a five-mile radius of the shopping center.
At 98 percent leased, there are only small shop spaces left available for lease. In addition to Whole Foods, Marketplace at Tech Center tenants secured by the leasing agents at Divaris Real Estate, Erica Meekins Rorrer and Mary McGovern, include: Steinmart, DSW, Five Below, BJ’s Brewhouse, Mattress Firm, AT&T and Massage Envy. DRE agents represented both the landlord and the tenants in some of the leases including: PFChang’s China Bistro, DSW, ULTA Beauty, and the most recently opened Mooyah Burgers and Shakes.
