Divaris Signs Six Retail Leases Totaling More Than 25,000 SF in the Hampton Roads MSA

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA:  Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of six retail leases totaling 25,518 square feet.

Sushi King leased 6,112 square feet at Peninsula Town Center, located at 5101 Kilgore Ave., in Hampton, Va. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the tenant by Aeri Jai of DRE’s Virginia Beach office. Sushi King is an all-you-can-eat, made-to-order sushi restaurant. This will be the eight location from Virginia Beach to Richmond. Other tenants at the Peninsula Town Center include Forever 21, Target, Macy’s, JC Penny, Barnes and Noble, Cinebistro, Loft and more.

Rack Room Shoes leased 6,000 square feet of space at Tanglewood Pavilions, located at Tanglewood Parkway and Halstead Boulevard, in Elizabeth City, NC. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the landlord, Tanglewood Parkway Elizabeth City LLC, by Dave Redmond and David Bickford of DRE’s Virginia Beach office. Rackroom Shoes carries discount shoes for men, women and children and has locations in 24 states. Tanglewood Pavilions is located in Northeast North Carolina and is a mixed-use development of approximately 275,000 square feet on 72 acres of land.

Dots leased 5,250 square feet at Victory Crossing Shopping Center, located at 4010 Victory Blvd., in Portsmouth, Va. Dots signed a second lease for 5,000 square feet at the Lynnhaven North Shopping Center, located at 2720 North Mall Drive, in Virginia Beach, Va. The leasing negotiations were handled on behalf of the tenant by Dave Redmond. Dots is a woman’s apparel and accessories store, catering to ages 25 to 35 years old.

Xtreme Dragon’s Black Belt Academy leased 1,956 square feet at 550 Oyster Point, in Newport News, Va. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the landlord, 60 Beacon LLC, by Karen Beale of DRE’s Newport News office. Xtreme Dragon’s Black Belt Academy is a martial arts and education center, with a variety of classes based on all levels of skillset.

Albemarle Orthotics and Prosthetics leased 1,200 square feet in the Divaris-leased and –managed Freedom Plaza, located at 148 Burnetts Way, in Suffolk, Va. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the landlord, Marlow Properties, LLC, by David Bickford. Albemarle Orthotics and Prosthetics has six locations, serving the areas of Hampton Roads, Elizabeth City, the Outer Banks and Washington D.C.
